Autumn Daze

Posted: October 9, 2010 in Uncategorized

It’s been a bit warmer in this early part of autumn which to me, is a bit of a bummer. I expected the mid-70s as it ought to be, but here we are hitting the highs well into the 80s-hardly football weather. Growing up on the North Coast of Ohio, football viewing or participation needs to be experienced in frigid temperatures.

These days, I rarely have the inspiration to sit down to a football game or any game for that matter. I’m not against the ritual. I would rather take in other things because this life speeds along at quite a clip.

Right now, there isn’t a cloud in the sky and for some reason, I want to cherish it-somehow hold on to the moment. You cannot hold on to the moment with a sporting event which overall, moves at quite a clip, especially on television where it’s the producers’ jobs to keep it all interesting.

In hindsight, all those days spent in front of Browns football and “Happy Days” are in my mind, what made the time quickly pass.

On this day, most folks around here are passing the time in front of Southeastern Conference Football. I do hope most are at the stadiums on this gorgeous day. At least they can take in these ultra-clear blue days while letting the time pass.
